The year Tommy came to Cornwall

We're back from our yearly family holiday in Cornwall. And this year Tommy joined us.
Here are some of our pictures.

St Ives is the name of our favourite seaside town, we always stay here.

The Labour in Vain was the name of our holiday cottage. It used to be a pub.

There was a real nautical theme running through the cottage.

This is the room we slept in.

This is the kitchen Katy cooked in. Toad in the hole, Mexican, berry crumble, white chocolate and strawberry cheesecake. Lucky us.

This is the room we ate in, drank wine and played cards.

This is the room we watched telly in. Mike the Knight for the kids and Comedy Gala for the adults.

Excellent location was our cottage, next to the cafe, popular with seagulls.

The cottage was also opposite the house the author Daphne du Maurier used to holiday in.

The Mermaid restaurant, serving the best steak ever, was steps away.

It was also moments away from our favourite beach.

Pop back soon for the beach pics and our coastal walks.

WOW! That's just gorgeous. I love cottages like the ones you've shown me over the years. What a splendid place! Had to google up toad in the hole because I was wondering if there were actual toads being cooked ha ha...We do eat frogs in Indo, you know he he...and my mom can cook delicious frog meals. Ahem.

It was a lovely cottage, really quirky and quaint.
Ha, ha, I wondered if someone would ask what toad in the hole is! It's just an expression we use here for sausages in batter, Silly really.

PS So you eat frogs in Indo? I actually had a bite of frogs legs in a French restaurant once, I wasn't too keen on it though.

Yeah, it's a bit messy to eat frog legs, but my mom can cook them with very delicious sauce he he...
